Welcome to Willinois. Willinois is proud to introduce our first contest. If you've searched this site (and you should have) you've seen we have a passion for old, abandon buildings. Starting September 1st, we are holding a contest for the best image of a old building. For examples of the kind of images we are looking for Click Here!

There are some basic rules. First, no imaging editing programs can be used for effects. You can correct color and tone but the images should be a natural shot of the building. All entree must be submitted before the end of September, 2008. This contest is for amateurs only! While you keep the rights to the image, by sending it to us, you give us the right to put it on our website and offer it for a free download to the Willinois Nation.

While image quality is important in judging, more importantly it is the building itself. The look of the building itself, it's originality, will be giving the highest priority. The images must be adondon and in some sort of state of decay. Any printing on the building, like a faded sign will be a bonus.

There will be two prizes to the image we decide as the winner. First you will receive a Willinois Nation T-Shirt. This shirt will be a high quality, white cotton shirt with the Willinois logo created with our wonderful ink-jet printer. Along with that will be brand spanking new package of Nestle Strawberry Quik (or equivalent value, if shipping is deemed to difficult). This will be the largest package we can find! Yes these prizes are cheap, but this site doesn't make much money! Our Goal is just to create a large collection of images. Oh, and you will also become a member of the Nation and therefore you will help judge the next contest!
