This Indie / Rock / Punk from Warren, Rhode Island features Kyle - guitar, voice/ Slick - bass, voice/ Jason - drums.
Six Star General harkens back to the noisy indie 80’s rock power trio format made famous by Dinosaur Jr and Husker Du. Already On One, their 2007 release, showcases their fusion of indie guitar swing, punk and a bit of Crazy Horse-era Neil Young. - Motif Magazine 11/07
There is a site called “ehow” that offer informative advice and tips on things you can do in everyday life to make it better. Here Jessica Smith goes above and beyond to help us with the cost of transportation. I can only imagine the seconds of work that went into a video like this. Maybe I’ll come to you for advice on how to make a cheese sandwich or something.
Here is one of the most bizzare, twisted cartoons I’ve ever seen. There is a series of these that you can see on YouTube, created by David Firth of fat-pie.com. You can visit his YouTube page by clicking here.
When I turned this site from a regular website (Which you can visit by clicking the Original Website tab on top), I decided I was going to feature all the wonderful things I find on the internet. Blogs, Vlogs, videos, music and more would be feature and reviewed.
The problem is trying to find a good blog that is still living! I go to blog after blog only to discover that blog hasn’t been updated for months, or even years!
That is why I had to change the name from Blog of the Week to Blog Praise. I couldn’t find one to review every week! Ihad actually thought finding one to review every week would be easy. It’s not. To find a review that’s both active and entertaining on a weekly basis is almost impossible.
What happens that people create blogs and then just stop! I figure that the average person just doesn’t have enough to talk about to keep the blog active. It’s also more time consuming than most people thing as well as a bit of work!
I wan to assure all the Willinios readers that I, Sir Underbelly, that I will always have something to post! Some people, like me, always have something to say! This is much to my families chagrin!
But please, if you know of a good blog, let me know! I’ll take a look!
So I woke this morning with yesterdays hangover completely gone and looking forward to a wonderful new year. I’m watching the DYI network because this year I plan to get some of the things done that I have been planning for years. The kitchen that was never finished after the remodel, or the bathroom, which again, was never completely finished. So, being a guy who likes to do things himself, and can’t afford to pay anyone else to do it, I figure I should know how to do it right.
But on the first commercial break, I see something that is a clue that 2009 will be no better than 2008. It’s a Luna Floor Commercial!
Here is an old one if you don’t know what I’m talking about:
This year I’ve already seen to new ones of these women who are almost humping the carpet! Is it me, or is this just insulting to, well, the whole human race? I mean, does anyone want to walk in and find there spouse rolling around on the floor like some animal in heat?
OMG! Now Vince Offer has another commercial! Not another one by the ShamWow guy! No . . . . .
Being a stupid male, I knew going to this blog was a bad idea. With the title “Bitter Women”, you know some, if not all of that bitterness, will be pointed to men. I was right, some of it was - but not all of it.
There are post on all types of subjects, like “Virtually Stupid” about a lady who got arrested for killing her ex-spouse in a virtual world. The one blog I turned to instantly was, of course, “Men Aren’t That Stupid”. It a funny post and I had to leave a comment.
This is a good site by two ladies, whom I hope this blog helps them release some anger, named Jayne, an American-Scottish woman in her 30’s, currently living in Perth, Scotland and Girl-Fren who lives in Oklahoma City: a warm, friendly place where everything is exactly as it appears to be. Except when it’s not. Check it out.
From our neighbors to the north, we bring you Girl Nobody. This 5 piece is from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
Vancouver’s Girl Nobody formed in 1999 and has since become one of the few bands that can offer cerebral charm and sexual bravado within a lullaby of pop swoon, all the while continually stretching musical parameters. The band’s stunning live shows, along with their critically acclaimed self-released debut album The Future Isn’t What It Used To Be (2004), proved that the hype Girl Nobody had been generating was warranted. - last.fm Website
